Meet The Staff

Alden Harrison

Dancing and performing since the age of 3, Alden established the Dance Centre in 1971 after a part time career as a professional dancer actor and singer in many musical productions and plays. Just to mention a few, performing at the Warwick Musical Theatre, Carriage House Theatre, Metro-Stage, Newport Playhouse, Coventry Players, Providence Opera Theatre and the Worchester Performing Art Centre.  He has worked with such dancers as Gwen Verdon, Luigi,  Charles Kelly and Peter Genniero.

 

After starting the Dance Centre, Alden was responsible for creating after school dance programs for St. John’s School and the former Finberg Elementary  School both of Attleboro. He has been the recipient of many awards for choreography and Directing as well as in his younger years.  Alden was the Rhode Island and Massachusetts undefeated male champion in baton twirling, where he held the title for four years in a row. For many years  Alden choreographed for Attleboro HS Drama Department and for Oliver Hazard Perry in Providence.  Mr. Harrison has been the  director and choreographer for Bishop Feehan High School since 1988. Mr. Harrison became a full time teacher in 1989 at Bishop Feehan High School teaching drama and dance. He loves what he does and is grateful for being able to share his passion with others.  

Brittany Montagna

Brittany Montagna is an award winning choreographer. She is a well rounded performer and choreographer who's experience in the world of dance has molded her to the artisitc dancer she is today. Brittany Montagna ensures that her students leave the classroom with the ability to feel and connect to their movement; giving it meaning and purpose. While teaching her students to connect to their movement, Brittany also emphasises the importance of musicality. Brittany obtained a Performing Arts Degree as a Dance Major at Dean College.

 

Brittany is a certified Yoga Instructor. She also choreographs and directs the Bishop Feehan Dance Company & Dance Team. Brittany has also been involved in many other school districts, directing and choreographing Dance Companies, such as St. John's the Evangelist school in Attleboro, MA and Hurley Middle School in Seekonk, Ma.

Kimberley Fowler

Kimberley Harrison Fowler, daughter of Alden Harrison, has been dancing from an early age. With expertise in several genres of dance, Kim aims to strengthen the technique, musicality, and leading edge choreography with the younger students at Alden Harrison Dance Centre.  Kim studied dance at Dean College. She was the former choreographer and coach for the Bishop Feehan Dance Company and and  the coach for the Bishop Feehan cheerleaders for many years. She has received many awards as a  competitive dancer. Kim has an amazing talent for visual affects and truly knows what it takes to push students to be the best dancers they can be.

Kim is an award winning choreographer.

Chantelle Croke

Chantelle Croke is a teacher at Alden Harrison Dance Center who offers a wonderful experience to all of her students. Once an AHDC student herself, Chantelle knows how to reach the students with her amazing personality, dance training, and unique approach. With passion and dedication, Chantelle composes inspiring pieces for the annual dance recital; always leaving the crowd wanting more!

 

Chantelle is an award winning choreographer and a Zumba certified instructor.

Ashley Harrison

Ashley Harrison is a truly unique choreographer, offering an extensive challenge to her students. Ashley specializes in Jazz and Lyrical at Alden Harrison Dance Centre and teaches a variety of other genres including Ballet, Tap, and Hip Hop. Ashley has formal dance training and received her degree in the Performing Arts at Dean College as a Dance Major. She choreographed for the BFHS dance Company. Bringing new ideas and creative visions to the stage, Ashley is a talented performer as well as innovator and teaches students what it means to move.

 

Ashley is an award winning choreographer and Zumba certified instructor.

Marcia Manni

Marcia has been with the Alden Harrison Dance Centre family for over 21 years. The first 15 as a mom to a student and then began working our desk for the last 10 years. Marcia manages all of our fundraising needs for our students.  During Marcia's free time, she loves to spend time with family and friends, read and just enjoy life. Marcia is the proud grandmother of little Mikey. The AHDC studio is extremely blessed to have her.
